This five-year initiative will run until 2026 and is funded by Fondation Segré through IUCN Save Our Species. The Fund will focus on threatened species and their habitats across Asia, the Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, and the Middle East. This initiative will support young and early researchers as well as conservation projects for all animal species considered as threatened on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, including terrestrial, freshwater and marine species.

Two different types of grants will be available through the Fund. Conservation Action Grants will support on-the-ground conservation action with the goal of improving the status of threatened animal species and their habitats. Research Support Grants will in turn support young and early scientists in their research to improve the knowledge on species and their role in natural ecosystems. These grants intend to provide budding researchers the opportunity to develop into world class conservationists.

Maximum grant size for Conservation Action Grants will be EUR 50’000 per grant with a maximum duration of 12 months, and maximum grant size for Research Support Grants will be EUR 7’000 for a maximum duration of 12 months.

For more information on how to apply for a grant, please keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts.

Fondation Segré is committed to help protect the biodiversity of our planet through the active conservation of threatened species and their habitat and the restoration of degraded ecosystems.
