Project objectives

This project aims to protect and conserve the sturgeons of the Rioni River by actively safeguarding their migration routes and addressing habitat modification issues. It will also focus on filling knowledge gaps, assessing habitat quality, and developing population estimates to support decision-making for the protection and restoration of essential spawning and foraging habitats.

This project is implemented by Fauna and Flora International.
